In Real Leaders for the Real World, we explore how good leaders use feedback well and this contributes to their success. Use this quick test to find out how you process feedback and find out how you can be even better. You sit in front of a piece of 360 degree feedback do you:A - Immediately filter for all the negative comments and try and work out who said themB - Search out the comments that indicate you are doing a good jobC - Look for the themes in both the positive and negative and disregard any anomalies or contradictory comments After an appraisal what are you most likely to remember:A - Any hint that you might not be perfectB - Compliments and positive anecdotesC - The overall summary and agreed actions to take forward You partner breaks up with you and during the conversation they mention what they thought was wrong with the relationship. Do you:A - Ruminate on what they said and how it could be your faultB - Write them off, if they don’t want you that’s their bad judgement.C - Consider what they’ve said and reflect on how much you agree with. Think back to previous relationships and consider whether there are any themes that might consider development areas for you Someone pays you a compliment.
